While the K Storm Studio Gaming Social Marketplace is a community of creators and players, where it’s possible to upload games, some creators may decide to develop products related to the video game industry and distribute them on their own store located in our marketplace.
Furthermore, many players and creators aren’t entirely comfortable with DRM. Although a DRM system can protect content and control access and use of digital creations, often causes inconvenience for both players and creators.
For these reasons, our team has decided to create a community where game creators can choose whether to develop their titles compatible with our KSS DreamGate (the desktop app that allows game launches exclusively through it, after introducing our code into their game) or freely downloadable and playable by users on their computers.
You can download and play free and purchased games from KSS Gaming Social Marketplace website or using KSS DreamGate desktop application. Creators can decide which platform their games can work on. If a game has been developed for the KSS DreamGate app the first downloadable file will be the KSS DreamGate compatible version of the creator’s game.
KSS DreamGate desktop application will give you access to all your purchased products from your catalogue that have been developed for it. The application will allow you to play, update, and uninstall KSS Marketplace games from your computer.
In case developers decided to distribute their games standalone, you can just go to your K Storm Studio Gaming Social Marketplace account, download them and install them (if required) on your computer, based on the game software architecture.
In all cases, every purchase you make is on your account, and you can get access to it using your K Storm Studio account. Please also read how to access your Purchases for more informations.
