User Reviews

In the world of modern gaming, everyone wants to express their opinion about the games or products they have purchased and loved, or simply contribute to helping other customers with a product review.

Multiple Review Criteria

K Storm Studio Gaming Social Marketplace allows you to write your reviews in a different and unique way compared to any other gaming marketplace out there. Every user can write a review and rate a few aspects of a game. We do believe that it is not possible to rate a product like a game with a single value from 1 to 5. At the same time, a game review, in particular, should not focus on a specific aspect of a game or a game genre, but rather on the personal experience.

We have identified 5 review criteria that are going to build your total rating for every single product:

  • Appearance / Art Style: this aspect crosses every game genre, and since the origin of the game industry, it’s an important factor that shapes every game. Pixel art, realistic, advanced graphics, cell shading, hand-painted and so on. No matter which art style the creator has used while making his games. How would you rate the game’s visuals? How would you rate the style and level of artistry used, if any? The level of attention to detail? And in the case of a “retro” style game or deliberately minimalist style, how would you rate the graphic design based on this stylistic choice?
  • Fun Factor: when we talk about games, of course, another common aspect is undoubtedly the fun factor. Whether you’re playing a survival horror TPS, a sandbox game or a visual novel, there is always the fun component that keeps you playing that game more and more. The fun factor is what you consider “funny” based on the game genre and your expectations about a specific game you want to play.
  • Length of Engagement: how long did you love to play this game for? Are you still playing or replaying this game? Or you lost interest in it after an initial high peak of engagement? In this case, the lowest rating value, 1 star, is like a short-term interest, while a higher rating value, 5 stars, for instance, means a long-term interest.
  • Usability: it means how easily and pleasantly players can understand and achieve their goals within a game, focusing on intuitive controls, clear interfaces, and efficient learning, ensuring the design facilitates fun rather than frustration. Let’s dive more deeply into it. How quickly new players can grasp the core mechanics and controls, intuitive mapping, customization options, clear and consistent UI, how easily players can recover from mistakes or can perform tasks once learned. These are some of the most important aspects that shape a game’s usability and that you can consider when rating a game.
  • Value for Money: This parameter is common in many other rating systems outside the gaming industry, and it can be considered both as the quality-price ratio and more generally as a user opinion, like is this really a fair price in my opinion? Would I buy it again at the same price?

Review Rules

  • A review can only be written by a logged-in user who has purchased a specific product, and he want to write a review for.
  • Every user can write a single review per game or product.
  • A review can help other users while purchasing a game or product, but it can also be an opinion about the vision, hard work, effort and investment made by a solo developer, creator or company behind that game. A review will be permanently published on the game page, so please feel free to honestly express your opinion about it as feedback for other gamers and also for its creator.
