We review all projects before their release. However, every creator must comply with the core rules governing customer and community engagement. We maintain that ethical responsibility is paramount. This includes demonstrating utmost respect for potential players and consumers, particularly by ensuring the avoidance of fraudulent schemes (scams), product discrepancies (where the delivered item deviates from the expectations set by the sales page), and the sale of faulty or non-operational products.
We want to make sure people looking for something new and interesting have the best experience possible. Creating content that can express creativity maintaining the highest technical standard, is also crucial to make your game stand out.
We know it’s your responsibility to accurately represent your project and do so in such a way that a potential buyer is interested in what you’ve created and can become a fan.
Feel free to explore our Creator Academy, where you can find interesting materials on how to publish and market your game as best.
We will review every project before the final released, however you will have full access to all your products. If we find your product violates our guidelines, we can decide to remove it.
Only select platforms your project directly runs on
Please make sure that your project files (slots) contain the right platform versions of your product.
If your product runs on Windows only, please select Windows only and not other platforms. If your product runs on KSS DreamGate and you didn’t upload a standalone version, please select KSS DreamGate only.
Adult content must be labeled
If you have a project page that has adult themes, then it must be marked. We don’t want any surprises for people who do not want to see that kind of content.
Setup up your Store Page as best
Your product store page has to be properly filled with all the required information. All the images, content descriptions, gallery, and cover image, have to be uploaded based on guidelines. Your product store page is what you can use to sell your product or game to potential new or existing customers, and we will be working on making it even more customizable, providing you with new additional tools and widgets. So use them all to develop each product store page as a cool landing page for your customers.
Choose the languages in which your game has been developed
We strongly recommend carefully selecting the languages your game actually supports. You can also inform your potential customers how your game supports these languages by specifying audio, interface, subtitles, or all of these.
Do not upload misleading content
Do not misrepresent the content you are trying to distribute. Including, but not limited to:
- Presenting content statements that cannot be substantiated
- Advertising features or content that is not yet present or available
- Fake or misleading imagery regarding your project and the functionality it provides
- Misleading declarations of features or included assets
- Using assets from other products or services to represent your own
Do not impersonate other creators or companies by uploading confusingly similar content
Strictly prohibited is the act of impersonating other creators or companies through the upload of content that is confusingly or deceptively similar to their intellectual property. This prohibition encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following behaviors:
- The unauthorized use of names, logos, or branding that closely resembles or mimics those belonging to other established creators or companies.
- Uploading projects that replicate the look, feel, or core functionality of another entity’s work without obtaining explicit, written authorization.
- Developing platform pages or listings designed to mislead users into believing they are engaging with a different creator, company, or brand.
If you are found to be impersonating another creator or company, your content may be removed, and your account could face suspension or termination.
If you intend to re-use the work or ideas of others, always seek permission from the original creator and give proper credit.
Avoid only uploading keys, content or links to other stores
Please do not upload Steam keys, or put a link to other store pages, like Steam, in your KSS product page. Someone buying a game on KSS wants to be able to access it on KSS through our website and app.
If you’re concerned about maintaining multiple builds, consider using the various file slots offered by our platform.
Prefer uploading your files directly to our platform
When publishing your games, software, or other digital content on KSS Gaming Social Marketplace, we strongly encourage you to upload your files directly to our platform. Direct file uploading helps maintain the highest level of security, reliability, and user experience.
Further, direct file uploading allows users to download their purchases from KSS DreamGate application when available.
Avoid advertisements or third-party logins
A game is a game, and a computer app must be a computer app. We prefer to see projects that have no advertisements, but we realise that this isn’t possible for all developers. If you place advertisements on your project, please don’t make them obtrusive or misleading. Avoid sponsored installers, or ads that prevent someone from playing the game without performing some action.
Avoid doing it for the sake of collecting personal information about a player, or trying to redirect traffic to a third-party service.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward digital security risks. Accordingly, the submission or hosting of any project containing malware, spyware, or adware—defined as any software designed to compromise user data, privacy, or system performance—is strictly forbidden and will lead to an automatic ban from the platform. The scope of this rule extends specifically to installers that facilitate the placement of intrusive advertising onto the user’s operating system or web navigation tools.
Avoid using shock images, loud noises, flashing imagery, or obnoxious material
We acknowledge that the definition of offensive material can be subjective. However, projects whose primary premise involves shock value or disruption—specifically through the use of potentially offensive imagery, excessive flashing colors, intentionally loud or abrasive audio, or other inherently obnoxious material—may be subject to platform intervention. K Storm Studio reserves the right to implement curation measures, which may include the delisting of such content from browse and search visibility, or the permanent ban of the content from the platform.
